Cosmetic Valley – International Scientific and Implementation Cooperation at the Cosmetology Department is an international academic partnerships programme undertaken and funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

The objective of the programme is to develop viable solutions in the area of scientific, implementation and teaching process cooperation, effected within the framework of international academic partnerships.

This programme implies a set of tasks (projects), for which financing is granted under the NAWA. The results of projects should provide a foundation for the development of a lasting cooperation of entities forming a Partnership. Projects implemented under the Programme shall be in line with a long-term development policy of NAWA and implementing Partners.

Partner institutions and corresponding project coordinators are as follows:

Dr.Dr.h.c. Günther Bonn from Austrian Drug Screening Institute in Austria;
Kazimierz Głowniak from University of ITM in Rzeszow in Poland;
Alexios-Leandros Skaltsounis from University of Athens in Greece;
Zuriyadda Sakipova from National Medical University in Kazakhstan.

Seminar in Almaty, Kazakhstan falls in line with the Task 6 of the programme, which is “Organization of common conferences and seminars and preparation of educational materials”. This seminar takes place as a result of fulfilment of Task 1 of the programme, which is “Searching for innovative plant-derived ingredients with potential application in cosmetic formulations”, which was responsibility of Partner from National Medical University in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
