Results of the implementation of the Academic mobility program within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme Inter-institutional agreement Mobility of higher education staff (KA171 2023-2025) on the topic «Ethnopharmacological studies of medicinal plants of the flora of the Republic of Kazakhstan»
International cooperation is an integral part of the activities of universities and an important tool in ensuring the quality of education and its compliance with international standards in the training of competitive specialists in demand in the labor market of the Republic and abroad.
The curator of the ERASMUS+ program (KA107-2020-2023) from the Kazakh side is the Dean of the School of Pharmacy of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Sakipova Z.B. Thanks to fruitful cooperation with Polish colleagues, the School of Pharmacy has trained more than 10 PhD doctors, and also carried out scientific research work of great international importance. The results have been published in ranking journals and have been included in international pharmacopoeias. Within the framework of the implementation of the ERASMUS+ Programme – Mobility of higher education students and staff (KA171 2023-2025), professors of the Medical University of Lublin Anna Malm and Izabela Korona –Glowniak visited the School of Pharmacy from July 8 to July 13, 2024.
Training seminars were held on the topic «The recommended methodology in ethnopharmacological studies», expeditions were conducted to master scientific and practical skills and collect objects for scientific research, which included:
— Advanced experience in ethnopharmacological studies of plant substances;
— Modern methodology of ethnopharmacological research;
— Justification of the results of phytochemical study of some Kazakhstani plant species: Bupleurum longifolium L., Eremurus robustus (Regel) Regel., Artemisia gmelinii Weber ex Stechm., Artemisia serotina Bunge, Xanthium strumarium L., Capparis herbacea Willd., Geranium rotundifolium L., Rosa platyacantha Schrenk., Ziziphora bungeana Juz., Stachys sylvatica L., Geum aleppicum Jacq., Achillea filipendulina Lam., Rumex tianschanicus L., Archangelica decurrens Ledeb., Valeriana turkestanica Sumn., Leonurus turkestanicus V.I. Krecz&Kuprian, Crocus alatavicus L., Allium turkestanicum, Allium galanthum, Cotoneaster multiflorus, Cotoneaster melanocarpus, Thymus marschallianus L., Thymus seravschanicus L., Hedysarum semenowii Regel & Herder, Ribes meyeri Maxim.
Within the framework of this project, professors of the Medical University of Lublin with their Kazakh colleagues went on two expeditions on July 9th and 10th to the Kegen district of the Almaty region, Saty village, and on July 11th and 12th to the Ile-Alatau National Nature Park.
Specialists from the Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction Sedina I.A., Otradnykh I.G. took part in the expedition to the Kegen district.
A meeting was held with the management and research staff of the Republican State Institution «State National Nature Park «Kolsay Kolderi»
Prospects for cooperation between the KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, the RSE on REM “Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction”, the State Institution “State National Nature Park “Kolsay Kolderi”” and the Medical University of Lublin were determined.
On July 13th, a discussion of the expedition results took place, interim results of the project were summed up, and plans for the future were outlined. The participants of the project were School of Pharmacy representatives: Ibragimova L.N., Zhumashova G.T., Bekezhanova T.S., Tleubaeva M.I., Allambergenova Z.B., Karaubaeva A.A., Suleimenov M.K., Orynbekova S.O., Mukhamedsadykova A.Zh., Kuntubek G., and doctoral students Kadyrbay A., Rakhimova N., Keleke A., Izteleuova E.
Doctoral students Rakhimova Nargiz, Izteleuova Elnura presented reports on their scientific research, discussed further directions of the work with the project participants.
The implementation of academic mobility of staff within the framework of the Erasmus + program contributes to the development of international relations between partner universities, the training of qualified scientific personnel and the effective use of the results of training and scientific research in practice. Upon completion of the program within the framework of the Erasmus+ program on the topic “Ethnopharmacological studies of medicinal plants of the flora of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the program participants were issued certificates.
