International scientific-methodical conference “Modern educational technologies in medicine and pharmacy: challenges and perspectives for the future”
In Shymkent on April 24 in JSC “South Kazakhstan Medical Academy” was held the International Scientific and Methodological Conference on the theme: “Modern educational technologies in medicine and pharmacy: challenges and prospects”, organized by SKMA jointly with the Educational and Methodological Department of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council (RUMC) in the direction of training — Health.
Within the framework of the conference there were plenary and sectional sessions with participation of RUMS, medical higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, partner universities. Its participants discussed current trends and innovations in the field of medical and pharmaceutical education, analyzed the prospects and opportunities for the introduction of new educational technologies. The conference discussed the impact of digital tools, interactive teaching methods, simulation technologies and other innovations on the training of medical and pharmaceutical specialists.
Much attention was paid to improving the quality of education in these areas for successful adaptation of graduates to the rapidly changing conditions of health care and pharmaceutical practice.
The conference was held in a hybrid format (face-to-face and remote) with the organization of a zoom-conference. After the plenary session, the conference participants continued their work in 5 sections:
- The role of general education disciplines in the formation of Soft-skills.
- Digital educational environment and project-oriented learning.
- The future of pharmaceutical education: integration of science, technology and practice.
- Integrated medical education: innovation and practical application.
- Clinical education: from simulation to real practice.
At the plenary session with greetings to the participants of the conference addressed the rector of UKMA Seitzhanova J.S., deputy chairman of UMO RUMS Imasheva B.S., dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Bashkir State Medical University Kudashkina N.V., Dean of the International Faculty of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute Nurkhodzhaev S.N.
At this session with interesting reports were made by the participants of the conference of St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University, Bashkir Medical University, KazNMU named after S.D.Asfendiyarov, Karaganda Medical University, UKMA.
The plenary session was followed by the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between UKMA and Bashkir State Medical University.
Articles, reports submitted to the conference contained experience, achievements, results of actual scientific research in the field of medical and pharmaceutical education and had theoretical and/or practical significance in education. The conference participants showed great interest in the presentations related to the possibilities of application of artificial intelligence in higher education, medicine, pharmacy.
The collection with the published works of the conference participants is available on the website of the UKMA. All articles presented at the conference will be published in the peer-reviewed journal in the field of medicine, pharmacy and public health “Kazakhstan Journal of Medicine and Pharmacy (KJMPh)”, published by JSC “South Kazakhstan Medical Academy”. The journal is indexed in KazBC; in the international database Information Service, for Physics, Electronics and Computing (InspecDirect).
It is gratifying that at the conference along with experienced scientists, representatives of the teaching staff of universities with interesting reports were successfully performed by young scientists, masters, doctoral students.
SKMA management organized a tour of the university. The University is developing, modernizing, open to innovations, supports cooperation with universities, research institutions of Kazakhstan and foreign partners.
Representatives of S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU took an active part in the work of the conference. The report of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Sakipova Z.B. “The Future of Pharmaceutical Education: Integration of Science, Technology and Practice” was recognized as the best at the plenary session.
The speech of candidate of biological sciences, associate professor of the Department of Biotechnology and General Chemical Technology (OHT) Suleimenov M.K. “Training of personnel on biological safety for biotechnological pharmaceutical production: integration of science, technology and practice” was recognized as the best at the section № 3 “The future of pharmaceutical education: integration of science, technology and practice”. The report of the assistant of the Department of Biotechnology and OHT Samigullina A.K. “Integration with Artificial Intelligence of Biological Safety in Pharmaceutical Production” was also interesting.
