«Fighting Corruption Is a Common Duty»
On October 23, 2025, the Department of Normal Physiology with a course in Biophysics held a university-level event titled “Fighting Corruption Is a Common Duty,” organized by the Department’s Anti-Corruption Council. The event took place offline in auditorium No. 7 of building No. 7. The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Normal Physiology with a course in Biophysics — Ryspekova Sh.O.; the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the School of General Medicine-1 — Tagirova R.T.; and the Chief Specialist of the same school — Belimbayeva G.M. Also participating were the Head of Academic Affairs of the Department — Dzhusipbekova B.A., and lecturers Aytzhanova G.M., Zhunistay. D.D., Asan G.K., and Kozhaniyazova A.N., Baidaulet Tilek. The teaching staff and second-year students of the School of General Medicine-1 also took part in the event. The event was hosted in three languages by second-year students — Sabitkyzy Aiyum and Akhylasov Eldos. It began with the performance of the traditional Kazakh kyui “Balbyrauyn,” performed by Isa Abai.
Students of group M24-006 presented videos on the topic “Corruption – a Social Disease,” sharing their reflections. Second-year students Qasymkhan Karakat and Dumanov Miras delivered trilingual presentations on the topic “Corruption Is a Disease, Eradicating It Is Our Duty!” Their speeches covered the nature of corruption, its causes, consequences, and the penalties applied for such offenses. Student M24-010 Talgatuly Yerdaulet recited his heartfelt poem “Oyan, qazaq!” (“Wake up, Kazakh!”). Then second-year student Bekkul Gauhar performed the kyui “Erke Sylkym.” After that, the video “Adal urpaq – zharkyn bolashak kepili!” (“An Honest Generation Is the Key to a Bright Future”) was shown. Next came the interactive quiz “There Is No Place for Corruption!” Participants answered questions about corruption and anti-corruption measures in Kazakhstan, and small prizes were awarded for correct answers. After the quiz, Yerdaulet Talgatuly once again performed his original poem “Oyan, halkym!” (“Wake up, My People!”).
Then the floor was given to Gulzira Meyramgaliyevna Belimbayeva, Chief Specialist of the School of General Medicine-1, who spoke about the work of the Department’s Anti-Corruption Council, ways to combat corruption, and urged young people to follow the path of honesty and integrity. During the event, students and faculty openly shared their opinions, discussed the causes and effects of corruption, and identified ways to combat it. The event concluded with a choral performance of “Atameken” by the second-year students.
