Motivational Meeting with Alena Anatolyevna Paliy, Quality Management Expert at Nobel AFF JSC
On November 12, 2025, a motivational meeting was held at the School of Pharmacy of Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov for 3rd- and 4th-year students with Alena Anatolyevna Paliy, a master of quality management and Head of the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Department at Nobel AFF JSC. The event took place as part of the seminar “Pharmaceutical Quality System as the Foundation of GMP and a Tool for Sustainable Development of an Enterprise,” aimed at strengthening the professional competencies of students enrolled in the “Pharmaceutical Production Technology” educational program.
The training of future pharmaceutical production technologists at KazNMU is based on close cooperation with leading domestic and international pharmaceutical companies. This approach ensures the integration of modern digital technologies, the use of elements of dual training, and the enhancement of practice-oriented education.
The pharmaceutical quality system, being the foundation of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), serves as a key tool for the sustainable development of any pharmaceutical enterprise. Mastering its principles and mechanisms is essential for forming the competencies needed for successful industrial and pre-graduation internships, as well as for future professional activity.
During the meeting, Alena Anatolyevna Paliy — a highly qualified GxP specialist — presented modern approaches to ensuring the quality of medicinal products at all stages of their development and manufacturing. The discussion covered in detail: the structure and elements of the pharmaceutical quality system; practical aspects of implementing GMP standards; the role of the quality management system in increasing the efficiency and sustainability of pharmaceutical enterprises; features of internal audits and quality control of finished products; and the competencies required for young specialists to successfully integrate into the production environment.
Particular attention was paid to the relationship between theoretical knowledge and real production processes, which is critically important for preparing students for practical stages of training.
The students demonstrated a high level of engagement: they actively asked questions, analyzed professional case examples, and shared their own observations from internships. Such interaction allowed them to: reinforce their fundamental knowledge of the quality system and GMP; understand real-world expectations of pharmaceutical companies; realize their role as future specialists in ensuring the quality of medicinal products; and develop conscious professional motivation for further learning and competency improvement.
The meeting became an important stage in preparing students for industrial and pre-graduation practice, helping them gain orientation for further professional development and a deeper understanding of the specifics of a pharmaceutical technologist’s work.
The organization of such seminars and motivational meetings strengthens cooperation between the university and the pharmaceutical industry, promotes the formation of a professional quality culture among students, and contributes to the development of skills required in the modern pharmaceutical sector.
