Navabharat Global Excellence Summit 2025 Scientific research is the foundation of the educational process
On 24 November 2025, the “Navabharat Global Excellence Summit 2025” was held in Almaty. This summit was conceived as an authoritative international event aimed at promoting dialogue, cooperation, and cross-border opportunities. A key part of the event was a one-hour panel discussion on “Investment Opportunities in Kazakhstan.” The summit was attended by Dr. A.T. Musaev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, physician of the highest category, and Chief Researcher from Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU).
During the discussion, he raised the issue of the relationship between the educational system and scientific research activities. This topic received significant interest from many summit participants, including foreign scientists, investors, and representatives of the Akimat of Almaty city and Almaty region.
To familiarize themselves with the scientific work conducted at Asfendiyarov KazNMU, a delegation consisting of representatives from Dr. Hemant B Agarwal Institute & Research Centre “Valentina DNA” and others visited the “Shared Use Center” scientific laboratory, where advanced biomedical and genetic research is carried out. The delegation was introduced to the laboratory’s activities by the head of the laboratory, Candidate of Medical Sciences A. Sh. Oradova, and research staff members Zh. B. Tileules and D. B. Turarova.
Following the visit, it was proposed to develop joint scientific projects that would include the training of master’s and PhD students not only from Kazakhstan, but also from abroad.
Considering that Asfendiyarov KazNMU holds the status of a research university, scientific research activities should be conducted not only by research staff, but also by students, residents, and faculty members, as research activity is a core component of the educational process.
