The “Visiting Professor” Program at the Department of Nervous Diseases of KazNMU: International Expert Mansur Kutlubaev Delivered a Lecture and Clinical Case Discussion for Physicians from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
As part of the international educational program “Visiting Professor” at the Department of Nervous Diseases of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU), a lecture and master class were held featuring Mansur Amirovich Kutlubaev — Head of the Department of Neurology at Bashkir State Medical University, Chief Freelance Neurologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and Honored Doctor of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
On May 25, the assembly hall of City Clinical Hospital No. 1 became a venue for a large-scale professional dialogue that brought together faculty members, practicing physicians, residents, and young specialists. The event gained particular international significance through the participation of physicians from Andijan (Uzbekistan), who attended in person, as well as specialists from various regions of Kazakhstan who joined online.
The central topic of the meeting was polyneuropathies — one of the most complex and socially significant areas of modern neurology. During the lecture, Professor Mansur Amirovich Kutlubaev presented contemporary approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral nervous system disorders, thoroughly covering differential diagnosis, clinical examination algorithms, and patient management strategies in accordance with current international guidelines.
A clinical case discussion involving a patient with flaccid paresis attracted considerable interest from the audience. The format of an open professional discussion enabled participants to examine diagnostic strategies in detail, discuss the interpretation of neurological findings, select appropriate diagnostic methods, and review modern therapeutic approaches. The practical orientation of the master class created a unique opportunity for experience exchange among specialists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the Russian Federation.
Participants highlighted the event’s high scientific level, the relevance of the presented material, and the special value of international academic collaboration. Events such as these, organized within the framework of the “Visiting Professor” program, contribute to strengthening professional ties, advancing medical science, and implementing cutting-edge clinical practices within the healthcare system.
The Department of Nervous Diseases of KazNMU continues to actively develop the international educational environment, creating a platform for knowledge exchange, professional development, and the integration of global best practices into domestic medicine.
