Winner of the 2026 All-Russian Interuniversity Olympiad with International Participation in Pharmacy Management and Economics “PharmFormula for Success” – the “Fifth Element” team of the School of Pharmacy
On October 6, 2026, the All-Russian Interuniversity Olympiad with International Participation in Pharmacy Management and Economics “PharmFormula for Success” (hereinafter referred to as the Olympiad) was held in St. Petersburg. The Olympiad was organized by the Saint Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (SPCPU), together with leading educational institutions and industry partners. The Olympiad brought together 12 teams from various universities, comprising students interested in developing professional competencies in pharmacy, management, and economics.
The “Fifth Element” team represented NJSC “Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University” (KazNMU). The team consisted of fifth-year students of the B085 “Pharmacy” educational program of the School of Pharmacy:
- Abdiakim Aksaule Yerbolkyzy
- Adilbekova Assel Anarbekkyzy
- Abdurakhimova Feride Abdukhamidkyzy
Following the competition, the “Fifth Element” team won third place, finishing behind the teams from SPCPU (St. Petersburg) and SOGU (Vladikavkaz). The participants demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team.
Another significant achievement was their victory in the nomination “Best Scientific and Educational Visualization in Pharmacology.” The nomination recognized the participants’ creative approach and their ability to present scientific information in a clear, accessible, and visually engaging manner.
The Olympiad program included the preparation of preliminary assignments and an in-person stage entitled “Battle of Minds.” Participants completed individual and team-based tasks designed to assess their knowledge and professional competencies in pharmacy management and economics. This format enabled the students to demonstrate analytical thinking, the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to professional problem-solving, as well as effective communication and teamwork skills.
Participation in the Olympiad provided the students of the School of Pharmacy with an important opportunity to represent KazNMU at an international academic platform, exchange experience with representatives of other educational institutions, and demonstrate the level of training of future pharmaceutical professionals. The results achieved confirm the students’ commitment to professional development, scientific inquiry, and active participation in educational initiatives.
The Department of Organization, Management and Economics of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy conducted a competitive selection of the best students of the B085 “Pharmacy” educational program to participate in the Olympiad. The team was prepared by M.I. Tleubayeva, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department; Zh.D. Rakhi, Assistant Professor of the Department; and M.K. Suleimenov, Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology and General Chemical Technology.
