Academic Mobility of KAZNMU School of Pharmacy Students at Saint Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University
Starting from February 2, 2026, in the spring semester, the academic mobility program for students of the educational program V072 – “Technology of Pharmaceutical Production” of the School of Pharmacy of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University has been launched. The program is implemented within the framework of cooperation with the partner university — the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Saint Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Following the results of the competitive selection conducted by the University Commission in accordance with the Academic Policy of KazNMU, 20 second- and third-year students successfully defended their educational and professional goals and were granted the opportunity to study at one of the leading universities training highly qualified specialists for the pharmaceutical industry of the CIS countries and Eastern Europe.
The objectives of the academic mobility program include:
- improving the quality of students’ professional training through the study of academic disciplines and modules at the partner university;
- deepening theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of pharmaceutical production technology;
- familiarization with advanced educational, scientific, and industrial practices in the pharmaceutical sector;
- development of research competencies and fostering interest in scientific activities;
- expanding students’ academic and cultural horizons, as well as developing intercultural communication and academic integration;
- strengthening international cooperation and academic ties between partner universities.
Expected learning outcomes of students studying at SPCPU within the academic mobility program include:
Active participation in educational, research, and extracurricular activities of Saint Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University, including:
- conducting research projects under the supervision of the partner university’s academic staff;
- participation in scientific, educational, and sports events of the university;
- development of individual educational trajectories and professional development pathways in collaboration with the partner university’s faculty members and advisors of the School of Pharmacy of KazNMU;
- mastering modern methods and technologies applied in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The implementation of the academic mobility program will enable students to enhance their professional competencies, gain valuable international academic experience, and contribute to the development of human resources in the pharmaceutical industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
