At the Department of Propaedeutics of Children’s Diseases of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov on 30 October — 10 November 2023 was held visiting-professor of the Head of the Department of Pediatrics of Ulyanovsk State University, Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor — Solovieva Irina Leonidovna
Solovieva Irina Leonidovna – pulmonology, allergology-immunology and vaccine doctor, is the author of 130 scientific papers, including those on immunology and vaccination, 8 monographs, 16 methodological recommendations and guidelines. Hirsch index for all publications by Solovieva I.L. on elibrary.ru is 13; Hirsch index for publications in RSCI — 13; Hirsch index for RSCI core — 4.
Visiting-professor was held in the format of lectures, seminars, discussions with students of the 3rd year of the Schools of General Medicine and Pediatrics at clinical bases — in «City Children’s Clinical Hospital № 2», in UC «Aksai». Master-Class for doctors and consultations of patients in intensive care and anesthesiology unit, pulmonological and allergology departments of CCCH №2 and in the ENT department of UC «Aksai» were held. The teachers of the department were given advice and recommendations on educational and scientific-methodical work.
Students and faculty listened to a series of lectures on propaedeutics of pediatrics diseases on such topics as anatomical and physiological characteristics of organs and systems in children, semiotics and diagnosis of lesions, as well as on topical issues of immunology and vaccinology among children and adolescents, as well as students.
The visiting program aroused keen interest among the audience, exchange of opinions took place, students listened to the lectures with interest and asked questions to the visiting professor. Special interest was aroused by the research conducted among medical students on the topic «Increasing the effectiveness of vaccination against hepatitis B among children and young people», they were also interested in the program of training in Pediatrics at UlSU, RF.
After the lectures, a questionnaire survey of the students about the visiting professor’s program was conducted. Also, the students were questioned within the framework of planned joint research in the field of immunology and vaccinology on the issues of immunity depletion after vaccination against Hepatitis B in children and young people of Central Asian region.
Within the framework of the visit Solovyova I.L. visited the dean’s office of the School of Pediatrics, the Anatomy Museum of KazNMU, where she got acquainted with the achievements in teaching staff of the School of Pediatrics in the organization of the educational process in KazNMU.
According to the results of the visit, joint educational and methodological, scientific work with the Department of Propaedeutics of Pediatrics of UlSU, RF, including the possibility of academic mobility of students and faculty will be considered. It is planned to sign a Memorandum between Universities.
