Cross-Cultural Communication Training for KazNMU Students
On January 25, 2025, the Department of Language Disciplines, together with students from the International Medical Faculty of S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU, organized an engaging and practical training session on the topic of cross-cultural communication.
Training Objectives:
Raising awareness about cultural differences.
Developing skills for effective communication in a multicultural environment.
Promoting respect and tolerance towards representatives of other cultures.
Teachers and students actively discussed key topics, including:
— What is cross-cultural communication?
— How do cultural differences influence communication?
— What skills are needed for successful cross-cultural interactions?
Students analyzed real-life examples of cross-cultural interactions, participated in role-playing games, and worked on group tasks aimed at resolving conflict situations.
Results:
— Participants gained valuable knowledge about cultural differences and their impact on communication.
— They developed effective cross-cultural communication skills.
— They learned how to identify and avoid common mistakes when interacting with people from different cultures.
The training concluded with an open discussion, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and share their impressions.
