Since 1994 he has been involved in scientific research. Since 2007, he has been performing scientific work and lecturing on scientific methodology at the Training Center of the University of Birmingham, UK. Since 2009 — Member of the Presidium of the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), since 2010 — Editor-in-Chief of European Science Editing. Author of many articles on scientific editing and scientific communication skills. He has reviewed over 700 articles for indexed scientific journals. He is a member of the editorial boards of more than 20 international journals. Since 2009, he has conducted more than 20 workshops on scientific editing and scientific communication skills in Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Turkey, Spain and England.
