Independence Day Celebration Held at KazNMU “Honoring the Past, Guiding the Future”
On 5 December 2025, the Scientific Library of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University hosted a festive event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The organizers of the event were 4th-year students of the H. Dosmukhamedov School of Public Health, majoring in Public Health, with the support of advisors and the scientific library.
The event began with the solemn performance of the National Anthem, which set an atmosphere of unity and deep respect for national values.
Distinguished guests delivered welcoming speeches. G.A. Begimbetova, academic advisor of the department, expressed sincere appreciation for the students’ initiative and stressed the need to preserve spiritual heritage, national traditions, and respect for the country’s history. Head of the Information and Methodological Department of the Scientific Library of KazNMU, S.A. Eleukenova, underscored the importance of patriotic education and civic responsibility in shaping well-rounded and active students.
As part of the program, the university library presented a thematic book exhibition titled “Zheltoksan Echoes.” Fourth-year students delivered an informative presentation, “Achievements of Independent Kazakhstan,” outlining key milestones in the formation and development of the nation.
The audience showed great interest in the patriotic video materials, the traditional musical performance by 4th-year student Zhahansha Yerbolat, as well as the artistic recitations and the performance of the song “Atameken.” The participation of guest students from the Astana Medical University’s Public Health program added a special dimension to the event.
A particularly memorable part of the program was the artistic recitation performed by 4th-year students Ayaulym Maratbekova, Nurpatsha Utepova, Aruzhan Koshkarbaeva, and Akbota Yerbolkyzy from the H. Dosmukhamedov School of Public Health. Their heartfelt and expressive delivery captured the spirit of the celebration, conveyed deep patriotic emotions, and brought an atmosphere of sincerity and inspiration to the audience.
In conclusion, Senior Curator Zhanat Bekmukhanbetovna Beisenbinova highlighted the importance of fostering patriotism, respect for national history, and the preservation of cultural values among young people.
At the event, the Head of the Department of Epidemiology, Gauhar Mergenova, also delivered a speech. In her address dedicated to Independence Day, she called on the youth to embrace patriotism, emphasizing the importance of this holiday and its powerful role in fostering civic responsibility and national unity.
The festive program became a bright and meaningful event, uniting students around the ideals of independence, national identity, and civic responsibility.
