International Collaboration of Scientists from KazNMU Named after S.D. Asfendiyarov and TashPMI within the Framework of Educational and Scientific Collaboration
Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences A.T. Musaev from KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov (Rector – M.E. Shoranov) was invited by TashPMI (Rector – B.T. Daminov, Professors D.I. Akhmedova and N.R. Alieva) to participate in an academic mobility program and scientific internship from April 14, 2025, to May 5, 2025. During this period, PhD doctoral candidate V.A. Indershiyev also underwent a scientific internship at TashPMI.
As part of the academic mobility program, Professor A.T. Musaev conducted extensive educational and methodological work: he delivered lectures on current issues in pediatrics and emergency medicine to students, clinical residents, and master’s students at TashPMI (Tashkent, Uzbekistan). Under the scientific internship program, he conducted lectures and master classes for doctoral candidates, master’s students, and clinical residents on relevant topics concerning the organization and implementation of scientific research, including «Organization and Conduct of Scientific Research: Grant Writing and Research Project Development» and «Scientific Publication: How to Prepare an Article for an International Journal.»
During the scientific internship, Professor A.T. Musaev and PhD doctoral candidate V.A. Indershiyev familiarized themselves with the research activities at TashPMI by visiting the institute’s laboratories and clinical bases. Professor D.I. Akhmedov organized a visit to the Institute of Immunology and Human Genomics at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Director – Academician T.U. Aripova). The uniqueness of this institute lies in its database of «Genetic Passports of Nationalities and Peoples» from Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan. The institute boasts modern advancements in genomics and immunology research. Discussions were held with the director and staff of the Institute of Immunology and Human Genomics regarding potential collaborative scientific projects.
In collaboration with the faculty members of TashPMI and KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, an International Scientific and Practical Conference for Young Scientists and Students titled «Innovative Technologies in Public Health» was organized and held in a hybrid format. The conference proceedings were covered by Uzbek television, which included interviews. Participants included students, master’s students, residents, doctoral candidates, young scientists, as well as their academic advisors from Kazakhstan (KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Korkyt Ata University, Medical University of Astana, Nazarbayev University School of Medicine, KRMU, YKGMA, UIB, Caspian University), Uzbekistan (TashPMI, SamGUM, TGSU, TMA, Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health, Urgench State University), as well as from the Kyrgyz Republic (KRSU named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin).
Prizes were awarded to students, master’s students, residents, and doctoral candidates whose research supervisors were faculty members from KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov collaborating with TashPMI: A.T. Musaev, Z.Z. Nurgalieva, Z.M. Nurmakhanova, M.K. Balabekova, M.K. Alchinbaev, L.T. Eralieva, R.Zh. Seisebaeva, R.I. Kulmanbetov, M.T. Kopaev; from TashPMI: D.I. Akhmedova, B.T. Daminov, N.R. Alieva, H.A. Khojimetov, A.A. Jalilov, A.V. Popenkov.
As a result of the academic mobility program and scientific internship at TashPMI, a scientific article has been prepared for publication in a Scopus-indexed journal, a patent certificate has been obtained for an invention, textbook chapters have been authored, and a collection of abstracts from the International Scientific and Practical Conference for Young Scientists and Students titled «Innovative Technologies in Public Health» has been published.
Certificates were awarded to Professor A.T. Musaev for his academic mobility and scientific internship at TashPMI, as well as to PhD doctoral candidate V.A. Indershiyev for completing an overseas scientific internship.
