International Research Summit on Multiple Sclerosis
From April 26 to 27, 2025, the International Research Summit on Multiple Sclerosis was held in Barcelona, Spain. The event was dedicated to modern aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis. It brought together over 300 leading neurology experts from around the world and served as a significant platform for discussing cutting-edge scientific advancements and promising therapeutic solutions.
The summit featured the latest clinical research findings, emphasized the importance of a personalized approach to treatment, and addressed the potential of new biomarkers for early diagnosis, disease progression monitoring, and timely switching of disease-modifying therapies. Special attention was also given to the use of digital technologies for disease monitoring.
Active participants in the symposium discussions included Dr. K.K. Almakhanova, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology at S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU (Almaty), who made a valuable contribution to the discussion of modern approaches to managing patients with multiple sclerosis, as well as Dr. B.R. Syzdykova, the Chief Neurologist of the Astana Health Department and Head of the Center for Multiple Sclerosis and Autoimmune Diseases in Astana, PhD in Medical Sciences.
The summit highlighted the importance of international scientific exchange and the implementation of innovative solutions in the practice of treating multiple sclerosis.
