International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Hematologist of the 21st Century” in Almaty: International Dialogue, Case Discussions, and Support for Young Hematologists
On March 14–15, 2026, the Annual International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Hematologist of the 21st Century” was held in Almaty.
The international speakers included professors from leading clinics in Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan:

The conference also featured the annual “Young Hematologist Competition,” which included hematology residents from five medical universities in Kazakhstan. The winner of the scientific research competition was Zhappargaly Nurken Esengeldiyuly, a second-year hematology resident in the Department of Internal Medicine at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (supervised by R.M. Ramazanova, MD).
During the conference, complex diagnostic cases were discussed; young hematologists actively participated by presenting their own clinical cases, and complex issues were addressed with expert hematologists and pathologists.
The conference achieved its educational goal of providing new theoretical knowledge and facilitating the exchange of practical experience. A total of about 400 specialists—hematologists, pathologists, laboratory diagnosticians, and others—participated in a hybrid format.
