KazNMU awarded diplomas to 41 graduates of the International Faculty

The ceremony of awarding diplomas to 41 graduates of the International Faculty was held at the Kazakh National Medical University named after Sanzhar Asfendiyarov. Bachelor’s degree was received by 5 citizens of Jordan, 19 citizens of India and 17 students from Kazakhstan.

“I strongly believe that the Republic of Kazakhstan can be proud of the medical doctors trained in the Asfendiayrov Kazakh National Medical University. Wherever you go now, you will be our new ambassadors for mercy and easing the burden, laid on people by diseases, bringers of hope.

I wish you good luck and all the successes in your personal lives!”, — said KazNMU rector Marat Shoranov at the ceremony.

He stressed that doctors now face new challenges, such as unexplored diseases, difficulties in an unclear world environment. But KazNMU students have the support of a large international community of KazNMU graduates, many of whom lead medical organizations around the world.

“I wish you all to be determined to make your work to the 100 percent all the time. The most precious thing for people — their health — will depend on how you will perceive that. Class of 2022 — You have a lot of work to do, but the truth is that your generation should do it better than the previous ones. Once you step out of our doors, you will have no other choice, than get ready to enhance your knowledge and skills for the rest of your professional lives. You should be proud of your university, as it gave start to many outstanding individuals – ministers of health, professors, researches, state healthcare managers and thousands of talented health professionals”, — Shoranov added.

He awarded diplomas with honors to graduates with the best academic performance. They were received by Anuarbekova Lyazzat, Pernekulova Aina, Shertaeva Meruert, Zhanabatyrova Gulnur and Arkynbay Moldir.

Dean of the International Faculty Nurzhamal Zhardemalieva noted that this is a special day for all those present.

“Thanks to the parents of our graduates, you supported them during their studies. This ceremony is perhaps even more important to you than to the children themselves. You are already the fifth release of International faculty. The atmosphere in this hall is full of happiness and success. I want to wish all graduates to have a strong inner core, be committed to their profession and never stop their studies — you know that this is an ongoing process. Good luck in your professional life,” — she said.

Representative of the Indian Embassy Amit Kumar also congratulated the graduates.

“In our times, the importance of doctors is growing even more. I agree with the rector that you should always strive to do your job 100 percent — 99 percent, 99.8 will not be enough.

Parents of students also spoke at the ceremony and thanked KazNMU for teaching their children, for the opportunities provided.

“Now I proudly call my son Doctor — Dr. Duha Noor from Kashmir. It is a great honor for me to be here as a foreign parent of a student, to be at this August meeting, celebrating the hard work of students who have become graduates in the field of medical science. KazNMU is the first medical university, in 8 years we will celebrate its centenary. The white coat itself distinguishes doctors from other professions, symbolizing purity, kindness, and the fight against infections. I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude to you, thank you again,” — said Noor Trambu from India.

Graduates of the International Faculty remembered the years of study, which were full of both positive and stressful moments.

“We had a fear that we would not pass the exams, there were such thoughts. But we passed everything and we are here at the graduation ceremony. There was a lot of fun, there were a lot of mistakes. I will learn from my mistakes and continue to make progress in the future.

, friends, we did it”, — said Kanetiv Amsisai, a student from Jordan.

“It was here that our wings were strengthened. The first terms in Latin that sounded like spells. Exams forced us not to sleep at night. I can confidently say that we are now the most stress-resistant youth. It is impossible to convey in words how much the professors invested in us. Thanks to my grandfather, parents who paved the way for me — we have one alma mater. Now we proudly declare that we are graduates of the strongest school of medicine», — Meruert Shertaeva added.

International Faculty of KazNMU was founded at October 2017. The education at the faculty is given in English language. At the moment 2689 students from 22 countries study in KazNMU. This is one of the highest shares of international students amoung univerisities of Kazakhstan.
