KazNMU Ranked 4th in the National H-index Ranking — 2025
Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University has entered the top five universities of Kazakhstan in the updated Kazakh National H-index Ranking for the fourth quarter of 2025. Based on the results of an independent assessment of scientific productivity, the university ranked 4th among 162 institutions.
KazNMU’s indicators in the ranking:
• National H-index: 62
• H-index Scopus: 71
• H-index Web of Science: 66
• H-index Google Scholar: 98
These metrics reflect the overall publication activity of KazNMU researchers and the citation impact of their work. Compared with the results of the second quarter of 2025, the university improved its indicators and rose by one position.
The National H-index Ranking is compiled using data from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, which ensures an objective evaluation of research activity, the quality of scientific output, and the contribution of institutions to scientific development. The improvement in these indicators strengthens KazNMU’s position among the leading scientific and medical universities of the country.
