KazNMU student wins 1st place at the International Pharmacology Olympiad

On May 21–22, 2025, the 5th International Olympiad of Medical University Students was held at the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina, under the theme “From the Teachings of Abu Ali ibn Sina – to the Third Renaissance.” This large-scale event brought together more than 500 students from various countries.

At this Olympiad, the «Asfenable» team from S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University demonstrated a high level of knowledge. A 2nd-year student of the “General Medicine-1” School at our university, Kalam Sholpan Aitkazykyzy, competed in the «Pharmacology» category, successfully passed three rounds, and proved her excellent knowledge. As a result, she won 1st place and was recognized as the top participant.

In addition, Kalam Sholpan presented a report titled “Overview of Community-Acquired Pneumonia in Adults” at the 5th International Scientific Conference «From the Teachings of Abu Ali ibn Sina – to the Third Renaissance”, where she was awarded a special Certificate.

Her scientific advisor is Shokhmurod Anarkhanovich Molaikhanov, assistant at the Department of Pharmacology and clinical pharmacologist.
