Master Class within the Framework of the “Taza Kazakhstan – 2026” Program
The Department of Public Health of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University organized a master class for students within the framework of the “Taza Kazakhstan – 2026” concept.
The purpose of the event was to develop students’ environmental awareness, draw attention to environmental protection issues, expand knowledge about the relationship between ecology and public health, and promote the principles of sustainable development.
The master class was attended by Bakhytgul Kassymetova, Head of the Department for Interaction with the Scientific and Educational Sphere of the Public Development Center under the Internal Policy Department of Almaty city; environmental specialist and representative of the Zhasyl Almaty project office Pakizat Sailaubekova; representative of the EcoJurekAlmaty environmental movement Marina Yatsun; and Perizat Komekbayeva, Communications Manager at Recycle Birge and a doctoral student at KBTU.
The speakers shared practical knowledge on environmental culture, sustainable development, proper waste sorting, and eco-friendly lifestyles.
The event was also attended by faculty members of the Department of Public Health and 3rd–4th year students majoring in Public Health.
