POST GRADUATE EDUCATION IN THE USA
Asfendiyarov NMU and SUNY (State University of New York), USA in 2016 signed a MOU for the implementation of the «KazNMU-SUNY Program on HIV Research and Training» of the Fogarty International Center
The program is designed for 5 years and is aimed at research training and postgraduate education in public health with a focus on HIV and co-infections (TB, hepatitis, STI) prevention and care.
The program provides a rare opportunity to study for a MSc in Epidemiology (in SPH, SUNY, USA for 2 years) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees (1 semester in SUNY, USA, then distantly).
All expenses related to training, including travel, accommodation, stipend, are covered by the American side.
Requirements for applicants:
To be a faculty member of Asfendiyarov NMU or a graduate student at the SPH, Asfendiyarov NMU, a clinician or researcher associated with Asfendiyarov NMU.
Be interested in carrying out research on HIV and related infections
Knowledge of English: TOEFL — 100 or IELTS — 7.0
GRE: 160 — verbal, 148 — quantitative, 5 – analytical writing
