The event brought together experts and scientists in the field of nutrition to exchange experiences and discuss the latest achievements in nutrition science with an emphasis on public health and dietetic approaches for different population groups.<\/p>\n<p>The Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov was represented at the conference by PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Nutrition named after Academician T. Sharmanov Arailym Beisbekova. The key topics of the conference included the role of protein in sports nutrition, the use of functional foods and dietary supplements, diet therapy for concomitant diseases, nutritional features for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and endocrine disorders.
