{"id":4832,"date":"2025-05-30T11:05:40","date_gmt":"2025-05-30T05:05:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.kaznmu.edu.kz\/eng\/?p=4832"},"modified":"2025-05-30T11:05:40","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T05:05:40","slug":"kaznmu-a-land-of-young-scientists-and-new-discoveries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.kaznmu.edu.kz\/eng\/kaznmu-a-land-of-young-scientists-and-new-discoveries\/","title":{"rendered":"KazNMU \u2013 A Land of Young Scientists and New Discoveries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Results of the First and Second Rounds of the Intra-University Student Research Competition in the &#171;Pharmacy&#187; Section<\/p>\n<p>At the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, the 2024\u20132025 academic year saw the successful conduct of a two-stage intra-university student research competition in the \u201cPharmacy\u201d section.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Round I (Departmental Level)<\/strong><br \/>\nPeriod: <strong>November 25, 2024 \u2013 January 24, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A total of 88 students from the following departments participated in the first round:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Department of Pharmaceutical Technology \u2013 26 participants;<\/li>\n<li>Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry \u2013 17;<\/li>\n<li>Department of Organization, Management and Economics of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy \u2013 11;<\/li>\n<li>Department of Biotechnology and General Chemical Technology \u2013 6;<\/li>\n<li>Department of Pharmacognosy with a Course of Botany \u2013 5;<\/li>\n<li>Department of Engineering Disciplines and Good Practices \u2013 20;<\/li>\n<li>Department of Chemistry \u2013 3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a result of the selection, <strong>56 students<\/strong> were recommended to participate in the second round.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Round II (University Level)<\/strong><br \/>\nDate: <strong>April 1\u20132, 2025<\/strong><br \/>\nLocation of the event: Building 7, Auditorium No. 9<\/p>\n<p>The second round featured original student research projects characterized by scientific novelty, practical relevance, and high-quality content.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prize Winners:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Second Place:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indira Sovetbek (4th year, Educational Program &#171;Technology of Pharmaceutical Production&#187;) Research Topic: &#171;Pharmaceutical-technological parameters of raw materials of Taubas sasyr (Ferula dissecta Ledeb.)&#187;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Scientific Advisor: Associate Professor without academic title, Department of Pharmacognosy with Botany, PhD \u2013 G.T. Zhumashova;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Azamat Bakhytzhan (4th year, Educational Program &#171;Technology of Pharmaceutical Production&#187;) Research Topic: &#171;Development of technology and quality control of Echinacea purpurea L. herb extract&#187;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Scientific Advisor: Lecturer of the Department of Pharmacognosy with Botany, Master of Economics \u2013 V.S. Masakbayev;<\/li>\n<li>&#171;Best Student Presentation&#187; \u2013 Yerkebulan Zhorabek (3rd year, Educational Program &#171;Technology of Pharmaceutical Production&#187;). Scientific Advisor: Head of the Department of Engineering Disciplines and Good Practices, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor \u2013 K.K. Kozhanova;<\/li>\n<li>&#171;Unlimited Creativity&#187; \u2013 Tomiris Kenzhanova (4th year, Educational Program &#171;Technology of Pharmaceutical Production&#187;). Scientific Advisor: Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology \u2013 M.Zh. Kizatova;<\/li>\n<li>&#171;Best Student Research Group&#187; \u2013 Nuray Krymkul, Aizada Shamataeva (4th year, Educational Program &#171;Technology of Pharmaceutical Production&#187;). Scientific Advisor: Head of the Department of Biotechnology and General Chemical Technology, Associate Professor, PhD \u2013 K.A. Zhaparkulova<\/li>\n<li>&#171;Best Practically Oriented Student Work&#187; \u2013 Aruzhan Amangeldi (4th year, Educational Program &#171;Technology of Pharmaceutical Production&#187;). Scientific Advisor: Associate Professor without academic title, Department of Organization, Management and Economics of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy, PhD \u2013 N.A. Rakhymbayev.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Prize winners were awarded diplomas and certificates.<br \/>\nThe university administration expresses sincere gratitude to all participants, scientific advisors, and members of the competition commission for their active involvement and contribution to the development of student science.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Selected Papers for the National Student Research Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the second round, several scientific projects, although not awarded prizes, stood out for their originality, scientific rigor, and practical relevance. These projects were selected to represent the university at the National Student Research Competition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Temirkhan Tanaguzov (3rd year, Pharmacy program): &#171;Computer modeling of new sulfanilic acid derivatives&#187;. Scientific Advisor:K. Boshkayeva, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Asel Adilbekova (3rd year, Pharmacy program): &#171;Project work on organizing proper pharmacy practice conditions&#187;. Scientific Advisor:I. Tleubayeva, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Organization, Management and Economics of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In total, Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University presented 5 research projects from the &#171;Technology of Pharmaceutical Production&#187; program and 2 projects from the &#171;Pharmacy&#187; program at the National Competition, all highly rated by
