On November 27\u201328, 2025, a large delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan visited Almaty to participate in the international conference dedicated to the development of nursing education and the exchange of experience between medical educational institutions of the two countries.<\/p>\n
The event took place at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU), the Almaty Higher Medical College, and the Republican Higher Medical College, bringing together healthcare leaders and experts, as well as representatives of medical universities and colleges from both countries.<\/p>\n
At the beginning of the event, the conference guests met with the university administration, the dean\u2019s office of the School of Public Health, and staff from the international office and the Department of Nursing. They also toured several KazNMU facilities, including the museum, the student service center, the testing center, and the simulation center.<\/p>\n
During the conference \u201cThe State and Prospects of Nursing Education: Experience of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan,\u201d presentations were delivered on modern trends in nursing training, accreditation of educational programs, international standards, and the development of continuing professional education in the two friendly countries.<\/p>\n
On the second day, the Azerbaijani delegation continued to explore Almaty\u2019s healthcare system and visited several medical organizations in the city: the Emergency Hospital, City Polyclinic No. 5, and the Republican Higher Medical College.<\/p>\n
The guests became acquainted with the organization of work, infrastructure, and the use of clinical training bases for preparing specialists. Particular interest was shown in Kazakhstan\u2019s system for training a new generation of nurses (applied and academic bachelor\u2019s degree holders), as well as their role in practical healthcare.<\/p>\n
At the conclusion of the conference, a dozen cooperation memorandums were signed between educational institutions of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n
The signed documents reinforce the mutual commitment to developing partnerships in nursing education, expanding academic mobility, coordinating joint projects, conducting research activities, and improving the quality of specialist training.<\/p>\n
All participants received corresponding certificates.<\/p>\n
The conference became an important platform for professional dialogue and the exchange of experience between the two countries. The visit contributed to strengthening international ties, shaping new areas of cooperation, and establishing a solid foundation for the further development of nursing education.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
