On April 17, 2026, the Annual International Subject Olympiad in the section \u201cMicrobiology, Virology, Parasitology\u201d for 1st\u20133rd year students was held at the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.<\/p>\n
The event was organized in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs No. 3 and No. 4) and aimed at advancing students\u2019 knowledge, professional skills, and academic training in medicine, as well as promoting public health and well-being by fostering the development of qualified specialists.<\/p>\n
The Olympiad brought together talented and ambitious future doctors ready to demonstrate not only a high level of knowledge but also creative thinking.<\/p>\n
The competition was conducted offline in three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English. Teams completed four diverse stages.<\/p>\n

Scientific humor and creative delivery made this stage vivid and memorable.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2nd<\/sup> round: \u201cLab Technician vs Microbe\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n A true intellectual challenge where teams analyzed video materials and images of various microorganisms and diagnostic methods. Participants demonstrated their understanding of diagnostic techniques and their ability to interpret results.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 3rd<\/sup> round: \u201cWhat? Where? When?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n A key highlight of this round was expert questions from the university leadership.
