Students from the School of Pharmacy at the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University emerged as winners at the \u201c6th International GxP-Fest 2026\u201d<\/strong> held in Moscow on April 23, 2026.<\/p>\n

— Two teams from the Department of Engineering Disciplines and Good Practices took top prizes in the \u201cDigital Pharmacy of the Future\u201d category as part of the student project accelerator.<\/p>\n

The festival, organized by the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices, brings together students in relevant fields, industry experts, and representatives of regulatory bodies. Its key objective is to develop practical competencies in the field of GxP and to train personnel for the modern pharmaceutical industry.<\/p>\n

Focus on Digital Solutions<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2026, special attention was given to projects related to the digital transformation of manufacturing, process automation, and data-driven quality management. Teams from KazNMU presented developments focused on the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies in the pharmaceutical industry.<\/p>\n

The winners in the \u201cDigital Pharma of the Future\u201d category of the student project accelerator were the following projects:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1st place: \u201cDevelopment of a digital twin for a continuous synthesis and purification system for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) using Python-based PAT tools\u201d\u00a0 by 4th-year student Daniyar Askarovich Konarbayev, majoring in Pharmaceutical Technology.\u00a0 Advisor: Lecturer, M.Sc. Elmira Kasymbekovna Zhaimbaeva<\/p>\n

2nd\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Project: \u201cApplication of Arduino-based \u2018smart\u2019 sensors in pharmaceutical manufacturing\u201d by 4th-year students majoring in Technology of pharmaceutical production \u2014Aynara Meirzhanovna Nogayali and Nuray Abayqyzy Orynbek. Supervisor: Lecturer, M.Sc.\u00a0\u00a0 Elmira Kasymbekovna Zhaimbaeva<\/p>\n

The winner of the student project accelerator in the field of \u201cChemical and Pharmaceutical Technologies\u201d was the project: \u201cDevelopment and Scaling of a Biotechnological Process for the Biotransformation of Biologically Active Components of Berberis Integerrima<\/em> Bunge Using a Symbiotic SCOBY Culture\u201d by third-year students majoring in Technology of pharmaceutical production: Petrenko Aleksandra Aleksandrovna, Viktorov Dias Viktorovich, and Erkin Bibinur Ruslankyzy. Research Advisor: Ph.D. in Pharmacy, Associate Professor, Head of the Center for Pharmacy and Pharmacology Lilia Nikolaevna Ibragimova<\/p>\n

Two teams of <\/strong>4 <\/strong>year students majoring in \u201c<\/strong>T<\/strong>echnology of pharmaceutical production<\/strong>\u201d were named winners of the \u201cG<\/strong>x<\/strong>P \u2013 good pharmaceutical practices\u201d competition<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Team \u201cGxP Innovators\u201d Technology of pharmaceutical production students: Zulpaidar Zarina Mambetkyzy, Shuppasova Zhanara Nurbolatovna, Tazhibayeva Aruzhan Kairatkyzy, Makhsutova Aruzhan Bekzatkyzy. Research Advisor: PhD, Assosiate Professor Karlygash Altynbekovna Zhaparkulova<\/p>\n

Specialized students in Technology of pharmaceutical production: Maral Asylzhanqyzy Turegeldieva, Aruzhan Eldosqyzy Ashmkul, Merey Muslimovna Kurymbaeva, Aydana Nurbolatqyzy Batyrbekova.\u00a0\u00a0 Research supervisor: Lecturer, PhD candidate Abay Zholdasovich Masakbaev.<\/p>\n

Industry-Focused Practical Training<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participation in the accelerator program enabled students to tackle real-world challenges in pharmaceutical manufacturing, apply GMP and GEP principles, and master modern digital tools\u2014from IoT to production management systems.<\/p>\n

The achievements of KazNMU students reflect the systematic work of the Department of Engineering Disciplines and Good Practices in training specialists capable of solving the challenges of modern pharmaceuticals\u2014from production design to digital transformation.<\/p>\n

Participation and victory at GxP-Fest 2026 confirm that the educational approaches of the School of Pharmacy meet the industry\u2019s current requirements and are focused on practical results.<\/p>\n
