On September 11, Almaty hosted the scientific and practical conference with international participation, «Neurology in the Light of Modern Global Trends.» This large-scale medical event took place within the framework of the XIX International Congress «Human and Medicine — Kazakhstan» named after Academician R.S. Kuzdenbayeva. The expert platform was organized by the NGO «Association of Neurologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan» and the NCJSC «Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.»<\/p>\n

A recognized leader of domestic medical science addressed the participants with a welcoming speech: Yerkyn Smagulovich Nurguzhayev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Nervous Diseases of Asfendiyarov KazNMU, and President of the Association of Neurologists of the Kazakhstan. The speaker emphasized the importance of continuous medical education and the integration of global trends into the daily clinical practice of Kazakhstani doctors to improve patients’ quality of life.<\/p>\n

The Problem of Pain: A new paradigm for treating back and joint pain was presented by a guest from Moscow, A.V. Naumov, Professor at the Department of Aging Diseases of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University. Continuing the theme, Professor Ye.S. Nurguzhayev presented the capabilities of comprehensive metabolic support for lower back pain.<\/p>\n
Innovations in Diagnostics: Particular interest was sparked by the report of Associate Professor R.T. Neurodegeneration and Borderline States: The Chief Neurologist of the Ministry of Health of the RK and Head of the Department of Nervous Diseases, S.T. Turuspekova, presented a report on Parkinson’s disease on the threshold of its new biological definition. Assoc. Prof. E.B. Atantayeva concluded the scientific session with an analysis of asthenic manifestations in anxiety disorders and modern approaches to their treatment.<\/p>\n
