XXVI International Congress “PHYTOFARM 2025”
From October 8 to 10, 2025, the XXVI International Congress “PHYTOFARM 2025” was held in St. Petersburg at the St. Petersburg State University of Chemical Technology. The annual PHYTOFARM Congresses are a well-known international platform where specialists in the field of natural medicines exchange the latest achievements and determine development strategies in the areas of cultivation, analysis and standardization, development of dosage forms, biotechnology, ethnopharmacology and pharmacology, regulatory aspects in the field of herbal medicines, medicinal plants and their processed products.
The congress brings together scientists, developers, manufacturers and distributors, as well as representatives of regulatory authorities. It was attended by specialists from all over Russia and abroad. Leading experts from the fields of science, industry, and regulatory bodies gave plenary and guest lectures. The main geography of participants covers the CIS countries, Europe, as well as Asian countries and other regions of the world.
Since 2011, St. Petersburg State University of Chemistry and Pharmacy (SPGPU) has been one of the leading partner universities with which the School of Pharmacy of the Kazakh National Medical University has been cooperating internationally on scientific and educational issues since 2011, including the development of academic mobility for students and teachers and participation in scientific conferences. SPU is the most renowned university in Russia for training personnel in the field of pharmacy and is also one of the most authoritative and prestigious in Eastern Europe.
As part of academic mobility, our students study at SPFSU during the semester every year and participate in research work and conferences for young scientists and students, including the well-known Young Pharmacy conference.
Representatives of the Kazakh National Medical University took an active part in the XXVI International Congress of FITOPHARM 2025 in St. Petersburg. The dean of the School of Pharmacy, Professor Sakipova Z.B., joined the scientific committee of the conference. Zuriadd Bekteymirovna spoke at the plenary session of the congress with a report on the topic: “Pharmaceutical developments and modern technologies for the production of natural products.”
Doctoral students and teachers of the S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU made presentations in an online format: Keleke Anel, Omarhan Aktoty, Ospanova Sandugash, Sabirova Aruzhan, Rysalova Balzhan, Dzhakiyanov Amangeldy, Izteleuova Elnura, and master’s student Seitova Dana.
