Curatorial Hour «Cybersecurity: Concept, Protection Methods, Importance»
At S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, a curatorial hour was held with 2nd-year students of the “Pharmaceutical Production Technology” program on the topic «Cybersecurity: Concept, Protection Methods, Importance».
The event brought together students from groups TFP24-001, TFP24-002, TFP24-011, TFP24-012, TFP24-021, and TFP24-022.
Explain the concept of cybersecurity, examine its main principles and methods for protecting modern information systems. Also, highlight the importance of cybersecurity for society and individuals, and teach effective ways to defend against information threats.
The curators emphasized that cybersecurity is a fundamental foundation for protecting digital life in the modern world. It requires a comprehensive approach that includes both technical measures and conscious user behavior. They also noted that responsibility for cybersecurity lies with both individuals and organizations. Violations in this area can lead to serious consequences, such as financial losses, data breaches, and reputational damage.
