KazNMU Technopark Resident, the Neuro Guard Project Team, Presented Its Solution at the MedHub HAQ Launch Event
Almaty hosted the presentation of MedHub HAQ, the first platform in Kazakhstan designed for the secure and legal exchange of medical data to support the development of artificial intelligence technologies in healthcare. The platform brings together healthcare institutions, the scientific community, IT developers, and startups, creating an ecosystem for the development, testing, and implementation of digital healthcare solutions.
As part of the event, residents of the upcoming accelerator presented their innovative projects. Among the participants was Neuro Guard, a resident of the Scientific and Technological Park of S. D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU).
The Neuro Guard team showcased an AI-powered system for the analysis of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans. The developed algorithms automatically analyze brain images, detect signs of brain atrophy, generate quantitative reports for clinicians, and assist in identifying pathological changes at the earliest stages, when treatment is most effective. In addition, the system can predict the risk of stroke with an accuracy of approximately 97%, improving early diagnosis and supporting clinical decision-making.
The participation of a KazNMU Technopark resident in this event highlights the university’s contribution to the advancement of domestic medical technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation in healthcare. Platforms such as MedHub HAQ create new opportunities for collaboration among researchers, healthcare institutions, and technology companies while facilitating the implementation of promising innovations into the healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
