Shakhmardan Yessenov Foundation announces its annual competition offering 10 GRANTS for a research internship of up to 90 calendar days in leading scientific and research laboratories around the world!
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan residing in Kazakhstan;
- Student (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Internship) of a Kazakhstani university or an active scientific researcher;
- Fields of Study/Work: study or work in one of the following fields: natural sciences, mathematics and statistics; information and communication technologies; engineering, manufacturing and construction; healthcare;
- GPA:3 or higher;
- English Proficiency: B2 level or higher;
- Proven achievements in scientific competitions/olympiads and a strong interest in a specific scientific field;
- Intention to pursue a PhD and engage in research activities in Kazakhstan.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Mandatory Documents:
- ID Card Scan;
- Essay on the topic «Research I Would Like to Conduct» (must cover your research experience, vision for the study, and concrete steps to realize it);
- Official Transcript with grades for all completed semesters;
- Bachelor’s Diploma with grades (for Master’s students and researchers) or diploma from the last educational institution (max 1 document);
- Resume
Additional Documents (Optional):
- Scientific certificates (max 3 documents);
- Certificates for social activity and volunteering (max 2 documents);
- Publications (max 2 documents);
- Recommendation letter from a research supervisor, vice-rector, or university rector (max 1 document).

- Application Period: October 5 – November 4, 2026 (closing at 15:00 Astana time, GMT+5);
