School of Pharmacy Students Attended a Concert Dedicated to the 120th Anniversary of Akhmet Zhubanov and Latif Khamidi
On October 3, 2026, first-year students of the Pharmacy educational program from groups FA26-004r. and FA26-005r. attended a concert dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding composers Akhmet Zhubanov and Latif Khamidi.
The groups were accompanied by their curators – A.E. Khamitova, Lecturer at the Department of Pharmacognosy with a Course of Botany, and S.G. Nazarov, Assistant at the Department of Pharmacognosy with a Course of Botany, as well as Z.B. Sakipova, Dean of the School of Pharmacy.
The concert program was dedicated to the creative heritage of Akhmet Zhubanov and Latif Khamidi, outstanding representatives of Kazakh professional musical culture who made a significant contribution to the development of national musical art.
The concert featured leading creative ensembles of the country: the N. Tlendiev Academic Folklore and Ethnographic Orchestra “Otyrar Sazy”, the B. Baikadamov State Choral Capella, the T. Abdrashev State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as renowned conductors and soloists.
The program included the works “Bi Kui”, “Abai’s Aria”, “Koktem”, “Fantasy” on the theme of Abai, “Zhambyl”, “Bul-bul”, “Kazakh Waltz”, “Kosalka”, “Toi Bastar”, “Zhigitter Bii”, “Kyz-Zhigitter Bii”, “Karlygash”, “Aittym Salem, Kalamkas”, and other compositions reflecting the richness and distinctive character of the national musical culture.
Attending the concert became a significant event within the framework of educational, cultural, and awareness-raising activities for first-year students. Familiarity with the heritage of outstanding figures of Kazakh art contributes to the development of a respectful attitude toward national culture, historical memory, and spiritual values.
For first-year students, such events are particularly important during the period of adaptation to the university environment. Joint participation in cultural events contributes to strengthening interaction between students, curators, and the School administration, developing a sense of academic community, and creating a favorable educational atmosphere.
The School of pharmacy places great emphasis not only on the professional training of future specialists but also on their comprehensive cultural, personal, and civic development. Students’ participation in such events contributes to broadening their horizons, developing aesthetic perception, and preserving the continuity of national cultural traditions.
