Department of Epidemiology Day Held at the Scientific Library of KazNMU
On October 2, 2026, as part of the Department of Epidemiology with the Course of HIV Infection and Infection Control Day, the department staff visited the Scientific Library of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU).
The purpose of the event was to become familiar with the university’s modern library and information resources and to expand their use in the department’s educational, methodological, and research activities.
During the meeting, Saltanat Akhmedullayevna Yeleukenova, Head of the Scientific Library Department, provided the faculty members with detailed information about the electronic catalogue, available information resources, and modern opportunities for searching and accessing educational and scientific literature.
Special attention was given to literature in epidemiology, evidence-based medicine, HIV infection, and infection control. The library collection includes a wide range of textbooks, teaching materials, monographs, and scientific publications in Kazakh, Russian, and English, including recent publications. Many resources are available electronically, providing convenient access for both faculty members and students.
Access to up-to-date scientific and educational literature contributes to improving the quality of education, developing teaching and methodological materials, conducting research, and strengthening students’ academic competencies.
The Department of Epidemiology with the Course of HIV Infection and Infection Control expresses its sincere gratitude to Saltanat Akhmedullayevna Yeleukenova and the entire staff of the Scientific Library for their high professionalism, valuable consultations, access to modern information resources, and continuous support of the University’s educational and research activities.
