From September 28 to October 9, 2026, a Сapacity building in Kazakhstan is taking place at the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU) as part of the international project EduCATIA (ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE).
KazNMU serves as the project coordinator in Kazakhstan, hosting international experts and project partners on its campus. The event aims to develop faculty and university staff competencies in applying artificial intelligence in education and research.
The program addresses key topics, including:
- the application of artificial intelligence in the educational process;
- learning analytics and the assessment of educational outcomes;
- the development of learning materials and interactive sessions using AI;
- improving feedback and student assessment;
- risk management and the responsible use of AI;
- ethical aspects, data protection, and academic integrity;
- integrating AI competencies into educational programs;
- updating undergraduate educational programs.
Participants include KazNMU faculty and staff, as well as international experts and academic partners. Representatives from European universities and partner organizations serve as trainers.
The program places special emphasis on the practical application of artificial intelligence in education and the exchange of international experience. Participants have the opportunity not only to explore modern approaches but also to discuss how to adapt them to KazNMU’s educational process.
The program also includes activities with students and working sessions on updating educational programs, facilitating the continued integration of project results into the university’s educational activities. Implementing this program at KazNMU represents a significant milestone in the university’s international cooperation; it fosters the development of modern digital competencies, enhances the educational process, and prepares specialists who meet the new requirements of the digital transformation of education.
