Department of Communication Skills (SGM-1) Expands International Cooperation: Outcomes of Academic Mobility in Armenia
From June 15 to 20, 2026, representatives of the Department of Communication Skills (SGM-1) of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University – Acting Head of the Department Gulbanu Absatarova and Assistant Professor Aizhan Kudaibergenova – participated in an academic mobility program at Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi (Republic of Armenia).
One of the key outcomes of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation and a bilateral Academic Mobility Agreement, opening new opportunities for strengthening international partnership and academic collaboration between the universities.
During the visit, meetings were held with the university administration, and the participants took part in academic and methodological activities. They also visited the MHS Mental Health Service clinical base and the YSMU Testing Center. In addition, a working meeting was conducted with representatives of Yerevan State University, focusing on students’ professional identity development and the impact of the digital environment on the education and training of future professionals.
The outcomes of the academic mobility program contribute to the expansion of international partnerships, the exchange of professional expertise, and the development of joint educational and research projects between universities in Kazakhstan and Armenia.
