Majidov Readings
On December 12–13, a scientific and practical conference titled “Majidov Readings” was held in Tashkent, bringing together leading specialists in the fields of medicine, science, and education. The event has become a traditional and authoritative platform for discussing pressing issues in healthcare, exchanging scientific experience, and presenting modern research.
Within the framework of the conference, a keynote presentation was delivered by Professor Y.S. Nurguzhaev of the Department of Neurological Diseases at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, President of the Association of Neurologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. His presentation,
“Stroke in Kazakhstan: Problems and Prospects,” attracted significant interest from the professional community.
In his report, Professor Nurguzhaev highlighted the achievements and the current epidemiological situation of stroke in the Republic of Kazakhstan, outlining key challenges related to early diagnosis, patient routing, and the accessibility of specialized medical care. Special attention was paid to the prospects for further development of stroke services, the implementation of modern treatment and rehabilitation methods, as well as the need for an interdisciplinary and systemic approach to reducing disability and mortality.
The presentation was accompanied by active discussion and emphasized the importance of continued scientific research and practical solutions in the field of cerebrovascular diseases. Conference participants noted the high practical value of the report and its contribution to the development of national healthcare.
