Master Class on “Fundamentals of Youth Entrepreneurship” within the Framework of SDG Implementation
On April 9, 2026, the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the International Faculty at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University organized a master class on “Fundamentals of Youth Entrepreneurship” as part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The opening remarks were delivered by Shermet Sherzat Rozmetuly, Director of the University’s Department for Student Development and Support. In his speech, he emphasized the particular importance of developing students’ legal and financial literacy in today’s environment.
The special guest of the event was Azamat Askar Azamatuly, Director of the City Career Center and an expert in youth policy at the Almaty City Development Center. During the meeting, the speaker introduced students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, opportunities available for young people, and the prospects of launching their own businesses in Almaty, while also sharing his personal professional experience.
The students demonstrated high engagement, actively participated in the discussion, and received comprehensive answers to their questions.
The master class became an important platform for the professional and personal development of students, while also fostering young people’s interest in entrepreneurship, leadership development, and motivation to implement their own initiatives.
