Nauryz Celebration at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University
At S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, the Nauryz holiday was celebrated on a truly grand, warm, and beautiful scale. The event brought together students, faculty members, university staff, and guests in an atmosphere of spring renewal, national traditions, and shared joy.
On this day, the university was filled with music, vibrant imagery, and lively energy. Guests enjoyed a large festive program featuring stars of the Kazakh pop scene, theatrical performances, spectacular acts by the Kazakh State Circus, traditional rituals—including the tusau keser ceremony—as well as sports competitions and creative contests.
Nauryz at KazNMU began with a colorful procession of batyrs, Kydyr Ata, and participants dressed in traditional costumes, immediately creating a unique праздничная atmosphere. Bright images, music, and festive energy from the very first moments filled the university with the spirit of tradition, unity, and goodwill.
The students themselves became some of the main heroes of the celebration. They actively participated in the концертная program, performed creative acts on stage, took part in national sports competitions, supported one another, and created the genuine and unifying spirit of true Nauryz.
The contests attracted special interest, including the competition for the best national costume, where participants demonstrated not only the beauty of traditional attire but also their respect for culture, style, and national heritage.
And of course, no Nauryz is complete without a generous dastarkhan. Festive treats were prepared for all guests, including plov, baursaks, Nauryz kozhe, and other national dishes. It was not just a celebration, but a day filled with hospitality, unity, and a true springtime mood.
Nauryz at KazNMU once again showed how important it is to preserve traditions, stay united, and create moments that remain in memory for a long time.
