Round Table on “Safe Disposal of Medicinal Products”
On May 5, 2026, at 14:00, the School of Pharmacy will host a round table on «Safe disposal of medicinal products»
The event is held within the framework of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being) and is aimed at developing a comprehensive understanding among students of the educational programs «Pharmacy» and «Pharmaceutical Production Technology» of modern approaches to the safe disposal of medicinal products and their impact on the environment and human health.
The discussion will cover:
- safe disposal of medicinal products and pharmaceutical waste: modern methods and technologies;
- regulatory and legal framework governing the management of medical and pharmaceutical waste;
- environmental risks of improper disposal of medicines (water and soil pollution, impact on biodiversity);
- the role of pharmacy organizations and pharmaceutical enterprises in the collection and disposal of expired medicines;
- international and national experience in organizing systems for the return and destruction of medicinal products;
- the formation of environmentally responsible behavior among the population and industry professionals.
The round table will bring together students of the School of Pharmacy, academic staff, and representatives of the pharmaceutical industry.
