Participation of the School of pharmacy in the VI International scientific and practical conference “The current state of the pharmaceutical industry: problems and prospects”
International cooperation promotes the integration of universities and institutes into the international academic and scientific-clinical space, facilitating the internationalization of activities through effective cooperation with world leaders in higher medical education, science, and clinical practice.
Among the events held as part of the Days of Kazakh Medicine in Uzbekistan, the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Current State of the Pharmaceutical Industry: Problems and Prospects” was held in Tashkent on October 17, organized by the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan. The conference was attended by representatives of a number of foreign countries, including Russia, Turkey, India, Iran, and the CIS countries.
Multilateral cooperation is successfully developing between Kazakhstan’s leading medical university and one of the most renowned pharmaceutical institutes in the CIS countries, the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute (TashPharMI).
During the conference, the parties signed an agreement on a joint educational program on pharmaceutical production technology (industrial technology) between TashPharMI and KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.
The dean of the School of Pharmacy at KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Sakipova Z.B., gave a presentation at the plenary session of the conference entitled “The Modern Concept of Drug Development” and held a master class for students and faculty of TashPharMI on the topic “Drug Development.”
Teachers, master’s students, and doctoral students of the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University took an active part in the conference on pharmacy and delivered reports at the conference sections:
- Reform of pharmaceutical education: successes, problems, prospects.
- Current problems in pharmaceutical technology and the creation of new medicines.
- Marketing and management in pharmacy. Priorities of national drug policy.
- Quality control, standardization, and certification of medicines.
- Pharmacology and clinical pharmacy.
- Forensic and clinical toxicology.
A competition for young scientists was held as part of the conference.
The VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Current State of the Pharmaceutical Industry: Problems and Prospects” became an important event for strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the field of pharmaceuticals. The participation of the S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU School of Pharmacy in this conference underscores its desire to integrate into the international scientific community and develop educational programs.
The signed Agreement on a Joint Educational Program in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology opens new horizons for students and teachers, providing access to modern knowledge and practices. The speeches by the dean of the School of Pharmacy and other representatives of KazNMU, as well as active participation in the conference sections, confirm the high level of scientific research and educational activities at our university.
