KazNMU faculty members participated in the 2nd China–Russia Public Health Symposium
KazNMU faculty members participated in the 2nd China–Russia Public Health Symposium, organized by Harbin Medical University in collaboration with national disease control centers of the People’s Republic of China. The event brought together more than 300 participants and served as a significant international platform for exchanging experiences and discussing current issues in population health.
The symposium featured plenary sessions and scientific sections addressing modern public health challenges, infectious disease safety, chronic non-communicable diseases, and nutrition standardization.
The scientific program also included discussions on international cooperation, approaches to reducing the risks of endemic diseases, and the implementation of new preventive strategies.
Faculty members of the H. Dosmukhamedov School of Public Health — A.B. Kumar (Department of Health Policy and Management), A.K. Beisbekova (Department of Nutrition), and N.B. Tukhanova (Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, School of General Medicine) — presented scientific reports on chronic disease management, infection prevention, and issues related to the quality of iodized salt in the country.
Participation of KazNMU faculty in the international symposium strengthened scientific ties with leading educational and research institutions in China, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia. It highlighted our university’s active role in advancing global public health cooperation.
