XXVII International Congress «PHYTOPHARM 2026»
From October 7 to October 9, 2026, the XXVII International Congress «FITOPHARM 2026» was held in St. Petersburg on the basis of the St. Petersburg Chemical and Pharmaceutical University, The annual FITOFARM congresses are a well-known international platform where specialists in the field of natural medicines exchange the latest achievements and determine development strategies in the fields of cultivation, analysis and standardization, formulation development, biotechnology, ethnopharmacology and pharmacology, regulatory aspects in the field of phytopreparations, medicinal plants and products of their processing.
PHYTOPHARM has been one of the leading international congresses in the field of phytopharmaceutics for more than 25 years. The event brings together scientists, industry representatives and regulatory authorities: new approaches are born here, industry priorities are formed and cooperation between science, industry and the state is strengthened.
The main areas of work of the Congress:
- standardization of natural products;
- pharmaceutical developments and modern technologies for the production of
natural products;
- Products of natural origin: safety and efficacy concerns. Ethnopharmacology;
- chemistry of natural compounds;
- new solvents in the technology of medicines, dietary supplements and cosmetics;
- introduction and cultivation of medicinal plants;
- youth session.
The congress brings together scientists, developers, manufacturers and distributors, as well as representatives of regulatory authorities. It was attended by specialists from all over Russia and from abroad. Plenary and invited lectures were delivered by leading experts from the fields of science, industry and regulatory authorities. The main geography of participants covers the CIS countries, Europe, as well as Asian countries and other regions of the world.
Since 2011, St. Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical University (SPGHFU) has been one of the leading partner universities with which the School of Pharmacy of the Kazakh National Medical University carries out international cooperation on the scientific and educational process, including the development of academic mobility of students and teachers, participation in scientific conferences. SPGHFU — the most famous university in the CIS countries for training personnel in the field of pharmacy is also one of the most respected and prestigious in Eastern Europe.
As part of academic mobility, our students annually study at SPGHFU during the semester, participate in research work, conferences of young scientists and students, including the well-known conference «Young Pharmacy.»
Dean of the School of Pharmacy Professor Sakipova Z.B. joined the scientific committee of the conference. Candidate of Biological Sciences Suleimenov Marat Kamytbekovich, Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology and General Chemical Technology of the School of Pharmacy named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, took part in the XXVI International Congress of FITOFARM 2026 in St. Petersburg.
The materials of the International Congress «FITOFARM 2026» will publish materials presented by the faculty, undergraduates, doctoral students of the School of Pharmacy of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.
