Current issues of chronic coronary artery disease and heart failure were discussed at the «School of Therapists» in Almaty
On February 19, 2026, the Almaty City Emergency Hospital hosted a “School for Therapists” for doctors specializing in therapy at hospitals and clinics in the city. The school was organized by associate professors of the Department of Internal Medicine at KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov – Aizhan Bolatovna Almukhanova and Farida Erashimovna Rustamova – and first-year residents specializing in therapy – A. Ayagan, Dabys D., Aimakhan A., Almbay S., and Naushanbek T.
The school addressed current issues in the management of chronic ischemic heart disease in combination with peripheral artery disease, chronic heart failure, and pulmonary embolism.
The school was held as part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals SDG-3 – Good Health and Well-being and SDG-4 – Quality Education.
