Department of Nervous Diseases Shares Professional Expertise at Almaty Society of Neurosurgeons Meeting

On September 4, 2026, Children’s City Clinical Hospital No. 2 (CCCH No. 2) in Almaty hosted a regular meeting of the City Society of Neurosurgeons. The event brought together leading neurologists, neurosurgeons, researchers, and residents to exchange experience and discuss key trends in modern medicine.

Roza Nurzhanova, Candidate of Medical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Department of Nervous Diseases of KazNMU, delivered an expert report titled «Specifics of Managing Neurofibromatosis Type 1.» In her presentation, she covered modern international diagnostic protocols and complex aspects of managing adult patients with this genetic condition, offering practical recommendations for multidisciplinary teams.

Chaired by M.R. Rabandiyarov, the meeting proceeded as an active discussion. Participants noted the high level of organization by CCCH No. 2 and emphasized that such meetings not only strengthen cooperation between clinics and the university, but also directly improve the quality of healthcare through the prompt implementation of scientific advancements into practice.
