QazMed Medical Volunteers of KazNMU at the «Sokol Race» Cycling Event
On September 6, 2026, the «Sokol Race» cycling event was held in Almaty, with medical volunteers of the QazMed Club of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University traditionally providing medical support to the participants.
QazMed medical volunteers take part in the cycling race every year, contributing to participants’ safety and remaining ready to provide first aid when necessary. Participation in such events enables future doctors to strengthen their practical skills and gain valuable experience in providing medical support during mass sporting events.
A special highlight of the event was the personal participation of Chairman of the Board — Rector of KazNMU Marat Yedigeuly Shoranov in the cycling race. His participation became a strong example of commitment to a healthy lifestyle, physical activity and an active approach to life.
The personal example of Marat Yedigeuly Shoranov serves as an important source of motivation for students, demonstrating the importance of taking responsibility for one’s health, staying active and embracing sport as part of everyday life.
