A Series of Scientific and Educational Events Featuring Professor Askar Chukmaitov of Virginia Commonwealth University (USA)
From May 19 to May 30, 2026, the Department of Public Health at the Kh. Dosmukhamedov School of Public Health hosted a series of major academic and scientific events featuring Visiting Professor Askar Chukmaitov, Ph.D., M.P.A., an Associate Professor from the Department of Health Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University (USA). Master’s students, PhD candidates, and the faculty members of the department actively participated in these events.
The program of the visit focused on current issues in the organization, policy, and economics of healthcare systems, with an emphasis on international experience. Within the framework of the lecture course, special attention was paid to care coordination mechanisms, value-based healthcare reimbursement, and efficiency criteria for health systems.
The visit played an important role in deepening integration into the global scientific and educational space, and was marked by the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the universities.The events served as a prestigious platform for the transfer of advanced educational models, the capacity building of the department’s personnel, and the strengthening of long-term strategic partnerships.
