International Scientific Platform “Modern Paradigms of Public Health” within the Framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The regular international scientific platform “Modern Paradigms of Public Health” within the framework of the SDGs was successfully held on May 20, 2026, in an offline format at the conference hall of the T. Sharmanov Kazakh Academy of Nutrition.
The event was dedicated to discussing current issues in public health, modern scientific approaches, and practical solutions in the field of sustainable development. The platform brought together visiting professor Askar Chukmaitov, associate professor and director of the VCU–Bolashak International Scholarship Program at the Department of Health Policy, School of Public Health, Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, Virginia, USA), as well as doctoral students, master’s students, and faculty members of the School of Public Health.
The platform provided an active academic dialogue aimed at strengthening scientific cooperation and exchanging knowledge and research findings. Participants discussed modern trends, current challenges, and innovative approaches in the field of public health.
The event was moderated by the faculty members of the Department of Public Health of the NJSC “Kazakh National Medical University”: associate professor A. Shakhiyeva and lecturer N. Darmen.
