From graduate to successful business manager: an inspiring meeting of students from the School of Pharmacy
On October 31, 2025, a motivational meeting was held at the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University with 4th— and 5th-year students of the School of Pharmacy. The event’s guest of honor was university graduate and Master of Business Administration (MBA), Daniyar Jankulov.
The meeting was organised to support students in achieving professional self-determination and successful employment, and to expand their knowledge of career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry and related sectors.
During the event, students had the opportunity to expand their professional horizons and receive practical guidance on preparing for employment and building a successful career. Particular focus was given to international employment opportunities in pharmacy, especially roles within foreign pharmaceutical companies. The speaker discussed current trends in the pharmaceutical market and the prospects for the development of pharmacy, sharing his professional journey — from medical university graduate to successful business manager. Daniyar Jankulov also emphasised the importance of career planning, creating a competitive CV, preparing for interviews and exploring employment opportunities in Kazakhstan and abroad.
Z.B. Sakipova, the Dean of the School of Pharmacy, highlighted that supporting students and graduates in finding employment is one of the university’s top priorities. She emphasised that the successful professional development of young professionals directly reflects the quality of the educational process and the level of training provided.
The meeting was held in an open, interactive format, which generated great interest among the students and served as a strong source of motivation for their professional and personal development. Students shared how they had chosen their profession, spoke about their future plans and the organisations they aspire to work for, and asked questions, demonstrating their keen interest in professional development and employment opportunities.
