A Preventive Meeting on “Preparation for a Trip to Shymbulak Ski Resort and Safety Measures” Was Held at KazNMU
On February 17, a preventive meeting titled “Preparation for a Trip to Shymbulak Ski Resort and Safety Measures” was held at Asfendiyarov National Medical University.
The speaker was Medet Toleu — Shymbulak Outdoor resident, professional guide in Almaty city and Almaty region, and National Trainer of WFTGA (World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations) in Kazakhstan.
During the session, participants received comprehensive information on proper trip planning to Shymbulak, compliance with safety regulations, responsible behavior in mountainous areas, consideration of weather conditions, and prevention of emergency situations. Practical advice was also provided on essential items to take to the mountains, including warm and comfortable clothing, appropriate footwear, protective equipment, water, and a first-aid kit.
The meeting was conducted in an interactive format, allowing students to ask questions and receive professional guidance.
Such preventive initiatives play an important role in strengthening safety awareness among young people and promoting responsible winter tourism.
