Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University Hosted a Delegation from Beijing and Zhejiang University
On July 27, 2026, Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University hosted an official meeting between the University’s leadership and a joint delegation from Beijing and Zhejiang University of the People’s Republic of China.
The delegation included representatives of Zhejiang University, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China Society for Biotechnology, Peking University, as well as the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Almaty.
During the meeting, the participants discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in medical education, scientific research, and innovation. Particular attention was given to academic mobility opportunities for students, faculty members, and researchers, the implementation of joint research projects, the organization of international conferences, and the development of joint educational programs.
The parties also exchanged views on strengthening scientific collaboration, sharing academic publications and educational resources, and promoting the exchange of best international practices in medical education.
Following the discussions, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening long-term partnership and expressed their readiness to implement joint initiatives aimed at advancing medical education, research, and international cooperation.
The meeting concluded with a commemorative group photograph. The delegation then visited the A.N. Syzganov National Scientific Center of Surgery, where they were introduced to the activities of one of Kazakhstan’s leading medical institutions.
